Cardiac arrest. Not a pleasant way to go.

Yeah, too bad he took all the thunder away from Farrah Fawcett!

I am more stunned by his death than I was by David Carradine. I grew up listening to his music in the 80's and 90's. I am going to spend the day
playing my CD's.
RIP to Farah Fawcett too. I didn't even know she was ill untill recently. |

He's got two kids with the name Prince Michael? And all 3 have the middle name Michael? Sorry, even if he wasn't a pedophile, this guy was a freak on
the first order and probably never should have been a parent. When I think of MJ, I'm sorry to say that I don't think of his music first (which I
haven't enjoyed since the late 80's). I think of his trial. I think of him dangling one of those kids off a hotel balcony. This guy was an alien
masquerading as a human being.
Lastly, it's probably not all his fault. I blame his parents. Sorry if I've offended anyone by speaking ill of the dead.

I complete agree with Ric. The world is a much safer place for kids. I blame his parents and I blame him. He was old enough to know right from wrong. Never
have been and never will be a fan of his music. Like I said before I don't think money will get him out of his final judgement. NO RIP from me. Now I
just have to hear about him for the next few months. I would rather have root canal.

I understand where Ric is coming from and anyone like him and personally don't see any offense for such comments. It is true, MJ had his issues, but for me
I will always remember the man who Moonwalked. The man who danced with Zombies and made it look cool. And the man who really was in all sense of the words, The
King of Pop. He was one of my faves growing up, him and Phil Collins. I loved watching both those guys on MTV as a kid. It's bitter sweet for me because
its like part of my childhood died with him. It's also bitter sweet because I actually went to the same grade school he did before he left for the Jackson
5, Gardner Street Elementary in Hollywood, CA.
In fact I remember seeing him in person. It was the early 90's and the school was not doing so well financially. So, they named the auditorium after him and he came out and gave a speech and the whole nine yards. It remember thinking how cool it was that he was coming to my school. Now granted, he ended up not giving very much to the school,a nd this was at the height of his popularity, so he had the bucks to give. But I will always remember him as the Pop Icon who walked past me on the way to my school's auditorium. This man had a hellish life which I think accounts for his bizarre behavior at the end and I would like to hope that maybe he can find peace in death that he couldn't find in life. RIP Michael, you deserve it.

I don't believe he's really dead. I swear I saw him and Elvis at a Mongolian Buffet in a suburb of Detroit last night.

My only beef with him was that whole baby-dangling incident. That upset me; I'll
freely admit it. But I never, ever believed he molested any kids. To this day, the very notion of that remains unfathomable to me.

I gotta side with Ric too. Granted, he was a major revolutionary force in pop music early in his career, mid 1980's, but once he slipped into
"eccentric mode" it was all downhill. Submitted for your approval, Richard Jeni
discussing Michael Jackson.
My outlook on life - we're all on the Hindenburg anyway...no point fighting over the window
seat.
