Well, more than under the weather... He just had a kidney transplant! I got word from him that he is doing well and expects to be going home from the hospital today. I'm sure it will take a while before he feels good enough to be hanging around this place much and he still has months of close monitoring ahead of him. Just wanted to let you folks know what's going on and let Hail know out thoughts are with him and we hope he makes a full recovery. ________________________________ When God strips you of your talent, He should at least have the decency to strip away the memory of having had it. - Denny Crane

I have allot of testing still to make sure the transplant is not rejecting. I will update everyone here and on a few other sites I am a member of at least once a week if I am up too it. Had one problem, not related to the transplant, but some good antibiotics took care of that. I sure will be glad to get out and about soon, being couped up is not much fun either.

Registered Member Posts: 313 (10/25/07 11:25) Premier Member Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Well I have to say this week has been a really good, I am now a grandparent, my son and his wife had a baby boy, all 9 lbs, 1 oz. of him. Kind of makes me feel old, LOL. OK I am doing fine, but I hate work, I am on what the doctor calls light duty, 12 weeks of it, so all I do is answer the phone and paperwork, guess they want to make sure I am healed really good before I go back on my route. Thanks for all the kind words to those who posted on the thread. I now know what a major operation is like, and I hope that none of you have to go through one, I still hurt from time to time, but that is the healing process, and at my age, it even takes longer. I have some experience of what you are going through as my Father had a kidney transplant when he was 42 after 7 years dialysis. His was a hereditory disease which luckily having been tested I have not inherited. I would just like to say he had his kidney until we lost him at 67 and it was still going strong after all those years. I wish you a happy and normal life. Best Wishes David Thomas
