waiting for this for a while and I was ready to do it a couple of weeks ago at $649, but when I asked the guy at the counter when they would be getting more
in, he told me to wait because they were going to have the $50 coupon on it.  Even at $649 it&#39;s a steal because most 42&quot; 1080ps are still in the $799

the front that I can view photos or listen to music on - and I can see the album cover on screen.

I never thought of routing the video signal through the sound system. That makes more sense to me than routing the audio signal through the TV. I also use my

			<description><![CDATA[ Rick - not everyone uses their surround sound full time. My cable box connects to my TV with HDMI but I don&#39;t watch Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs or The Daily
Show in surround sound. But yeah, there does seem to be a bit of - if not conflict of interest - then at least a not fully thought out logic of which
connections are on which equipment and why...that ideal combination seems to still be evolving. But by the same logic, not everyone uses their systems the same
way, so the equipment makers... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Upscaling is kind of like resizing photos. If somone had a 1080p TV, the TV or player would have to take the 480p (or in my case 576p) or 720p and convert it
to 1080p. It does this by adding extra lines where it thinks it is best. It can do this by looking at a line and then duplicating it above and below the actual
line and so it makes the picture bigger and fills the screen (with ratio borders intact). If it didn&#39;t then it would have borders around all sides.

bought a new DVD player since my existing one was starting to funk out on me. I bought a Philips DVD player with upconverting HDMI output for $40 at Walmart.
Whenever I used the HDMI output, there was a diagonal column of small red dots on the right side of the screen. I could never get this to go away... ]]></description>

I bought an HD-DVD player on the fire-sales, and snagged about 2 dozen HD-DVDs at no more than $7 apiece. I have a PS3 that also doubles as a blu-ray player.
My rule of thumb is if I can find HD-DVD movies for dirt-cheap ($1 for Next on HD-DVD? I so bought that)... or if I can find the Blu&#39;s new within $3 of the
new DVD... I buy the Blu. I&#39;ve... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Upscaling is on players with HDMI connections. It is not even near HD although the Oppo DVD/BD players are the best at it. Quality also depends on the disc to.
Here is the thing though, by a HDTV, and that will upscale anyway for you. Say it is 1080p TV, everything has to be upscaled by the TV or it will have a black
border around all sides as it won&#39;t fit the screen. This is for every signal including VHS if you put it through the TV.

lovely downscaled image that was still better than DVD. With TV on the other hand, a HDTV is needed. ]]></description>
